US-based insurance brokerage and financial services firm Hub International has acquired McNellis & Company (McNellis Insurance) for an undisclosed sum.
The acquired firm is an independent insurance agency, which offers personal, business, life, health and disability insurance along with annuities and other financial products.

Evergreen Park, Illinois headquartered McNellis Insurance was founded in 1981. Under the agreement, the entire McNellis Insurance team including Chuck McNellis, president, will join the Hub Midwest West.
They will continue to operate out of the Evergreen Park office.
Hub Midwest West chief marketing officer & property casualty practice leader Seth Hopkins said: “McNellis Insurance is a great fit strategically and we are delighted that they have joined Hub. They will be instrumental in further strengthening our position in the market, which will ultimately benefit our clients.”

Last month, Hub International signed a deal to acquire National Home Warranty Group, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Aviva Canada.
Before that, it acquired the assets of Hiles-McLeod Insurance, which specialises in business and homeowners insurance coverage.
In July, Hub International announced the purchase of Risk Point Consulting and Ward Insurance.
