Insurance broker Hub International has agreed to acquire National Home Warranty Group, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Aviva Canada.

The financial value of the deal was not disclosed.

Hub International expects the acquisition to augment its western Canada business as National Home Warranty is one of the key home warranty providers in the region.

The acquired venture partners with over 3,500 registered builders and provides new home warranty coverage to 15,000 homes and homeowners every year.

Its offices are located in Edmonton and Calgary, Alberta, and Vancouver and Langley, British Columbia.

Under the agreement, the National Home Warranty team will join Hub Canada West once the acquisition is complete.

Earlier this month, Hub International acquired assets of Hiles-McLeod Insurance, which specialises in business and homeowners insurance coverage.

Last month, Hub International announced the purchase of Risk Point Consulting’s assets to strengthen its existing sports and entertainment speciality practice.

In the same month, it acquired the assets of Ward Insurance.

In January this year, Hub International snapped up CAPAX Management and Insurance Services, an insurance brokerage and employee benefits consulting firm.
