Charles Taylor, which provides services and technology solutions to insurers, has launched a multi-sector investigation division, dubbed Charles Taylor Specialist Investigation Services (SIS).

This division is created to help insurance companies counter fraud, manage risk, and minimise their exposures using an intelligence-led approach.

Led by Charles Taylor global head of fraud Bobby Gracey, the new division will tap Charles Taylor InsureTech to develop counter fraud identification and investigation tools.

Gracey said: “Charles Taylor has unrivalled expertise in claims across multiple markets and a leading technology arm underpinning this, which is a great combination for a new specialist counter fraud service.

“We are bringing the best of IT & IQ together to enable our clients to outperform, defeat the fraudsters and reduce the fraud expenses that impact the balance sheet of every insurer. We know that no two counter fraud philosophies are the same, which is why we work collaboratively with clients to build tailored claims fraud responses.”

Charles Taylor SIS will provide investigations on a retained and delegated authority basis to its insurer clients, the legal sector, TPA’s, and corporate multinationals.

The firm will also offer a ‘white label’ solution to the clients as well as training and consultancy to help them identify fraud, handle risk and enhance processes.

It will also conduct fraud and cost containment workshops, along with strategic guidance planning.

Earlier this month, Charles Taylor acquired Aegis, a Wisconsin-based mutual management and third-party claims administrator.
