April 2022 has seen an increase of 4.95% in the overall hiring activity when compared with March 2022.

IT jobs accounted for a 12.65% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in April 2022, registering a decrease of 0.4% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in April 2022
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Europe with a share of 56.49% in April 2022, a 5.17% rise over the previous month. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations came in next, claiming a share of 17.76% in April 2022, marking a 12.57% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Database and Network Administrators and Architects with a share of 13.87% in April 2022, a 6.84% rise from March 2022.

Top five insurance companies in Europe’s IT recruitment activity in April 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 13.85% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Europe’s insurance industry during April 2022 over previous month.
Swiss Re posted 171 IT jobs in April 2022 and registered an increase of 42.5% over the previous month, followed by Zurich Insurance Group with 163 jobs and a 6.86% drop. AXA with 125 IT jobs and Allianz with 94 jobs, recorded a 32.98% rise and a 3.09% drop, respectively, while PZU recorded a 14.71% increase with 39 job postings during April 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Europe’s insurance industry
The UK commanded a leading presence in the region’s insurance industry IT hiring activity with a 19.87% share in April 2022, a 2.29% increase over March 2022. Germany featured next with an 18.2% share, down 10.38% over the previous month. Slovakia recorded an 11.32% share, a growth of 29.11% compared with March 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in April 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 75.69%, up by 13.67% from March 2022. Mid Level positions with a 13.43% share, registered a growth of 3.42% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 9.54% share, down 28.93% over March 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 1.33%, recording a month-on-month decline of 36.84%.
