Fidelis Insurance has appointed Richard Brindle as its new chief underwriting officer, replacing Ben Savill who will leave to pursue other opportunities.

In the new role, Brindle will spearhead underwriting across the four pillars of bespoke, reinsurance, partnerships, and specialty.

Brindle will take up the new role, while retaining his existing responsibilities of chairman and group CEO.

Savill also serves as the CEO of Fidelis Insurance Bermuda. He will be replaced in this role by group CFO Hinal Patel.

The restructure also includes the group general counsel Patricia Roufca assuming the additional responsibility of COO.

In the new role, Roufca will be responsible for managing cohesion and efficiency across different functions.
