India-based HDFC Life Insurance and standalone health insurance firm Apollo Munich Health have rolled out a new combi health & life insurance policy.

Dubbed, ‘Click2Protect Health plan’, the new insurance product offers insureds both life and health cover under a single plan.

HDFC Life said that customers will receive a 5% discount on the total premium if they decide to buy the combi product.

The life insurance component has a minimum sum assured of INR1m ($15,322) and no maximum sum assured.

The health section of the new policy has maximum sum assured of INR5m ($76,611) and two claims free years would take it to INR10m ($153,221).

The product’s features include waiver of future premiums in case of accidental total permanent disability or on diagnosis of critical illness to the insureds. The plan also offers special premium rates for women and non-tobacco users.
