Brunel Group has launched Brunel Wealth Ltd, an independent financial planning and wealth management firm.

This is the insurance firm’s second subsidiary launched within the past 12 months. In September 2019, the company announced a new employee scheme, Brunel Employee Benefits.

The new financial planning sector will consist of managing director Iain Black, the former owner of Deverill Black Limited, as well as head of private client Alex Nicklin and head of financial Carl Tuttiett – both formerly Tilney.

Managing director Iain Black said: “I am excited to be involved in the launch of Brunel Wealth and the opportunity to build the highest quality Financial Advice and Wealth Management business.

“With Carl and Alex on board at launch we have demonstrated our commitment to building a professional team capable of providing the highest quality advice to clients from day one.

“We will add further quality to the team in both advice and administration in the coming months.”

Brunel wealth will continue to operate from its head office in Bristol where there are currently 70 members of staff. Recruitment for the London and Manchester offices are in progress.

Financial planning and wealth management will be provided to private clients, businesses, business owners, high-net-worth individuals, charities and trusts.

The firm’s next steps will include a financial plan based on client objectives and research to find relevant solutions supporting financial growth for clients.

Group CEO Russell Lane said: “Following huge growth across the group, I am delighted to welcome Iain, Alex and Carl to head up our new financial services business, all of whom have distinguished reputations within the industry.

“The team bring extensive knowledge and experience within the wealth management sector, as well as a commitment and long-term vision for the company and our clients.

“Brunel’s ethos is centred around independence and excellent client service and the launch of Brunel Wealth offers new and current clients a complete insurance and financial planning solution for businesses and individuals alike.”
