By integrating with Duck Creek’s Payment Marketplace and Orchestrator, Zelis aims to help P&C insurers facilitate rapid payments to their policyholders, businesses and providers.

Zelis said that P&C insurers are under increasing pressure to update their traditional, paper-based disbursement workflows.

The sector faces particular difficulties in managing workflows involving multiple parties, approval layers and various regulatory requirements.

According to Zelis, the integration of ZAPP via Duck Creek’s platform will enable digital payment options and streamline overall operations.

Zelis Payments Optimization president Yusuf Qasim said: “By teaming up with Duck Creek, we are making it easier for property and casualty insurers to handle claims and premium payments more efficiently.

“This partnership is a testament to our growing commitment to supporting the P&C industry in a deeper way. We are combining our experience in simplifying complex payments with Duck Creek’s trusted insurance platform, so insurers can enhance how they work – without having to overhaul everything they already rely on.”

ZAPP is now available through Duck Creek’s Payments Marketplace. With the aid of Duck Creek Orchestrator, implementation times for payment integrations are expected to decrease from several months to as little as one to two weeks.

Duck Creek Orchestrator is designed to link insurers to a range of worldwide payment providers, and supports both incoming and outgoing payments across different IT environments.

Duck Creek Technologies chief payments officer Allan Lacoste said: “Partnering with Zelis is a pivotal step in our mission to empower carriers with agile, end-to-end core insurance solutions.

“By integrating ZAPP into Duck Creek Orchestrator and Payment Marketplace we are giving customers access to a wider range of payment methods and greater control over their payment processes, while enabling faster implementation timelines.”
