Canadian insurance brokerage Westland Insurance has acquired Paul Ayotte Insurance Brokers (PAIB) to expand its operations in Ontario.  

Financial terms of the deal remain confidential. 

PAIB, established in 1975, serves communities in Northern Ontario with a variety of insurance products such as auto, home, business, cottage and leisure insurance.  

The company operates out of five regional offices, providing tailored insurance solutions to its clientele.

In March, the company acquired Loewen Agencies, a brokerage with a history dating back to 1947 that serves several communities in Saskatchewan with insurance coverage for a variety of needs including properties, vehicles, businesses and farms. 

In February, Westland Insurance took over the West Burlington branch of Youngs Insurance Brokers, a practice with more than two decades of experience in providing P&C insurance to clients in the Greater Toronto Area.
