Pacific Life Re has made two senior appointments to its Europe management team.
Hamish Wilson becomes head of R&D, Europe, at Pacific Life Re, and Phill Beach joins the reinsurer as head of pricing, Europe.
Wilson joins from Hymans Robertson where he was partner, head of product pricing and reinsurance and has over 20 years’ experience covering the UK and Australian pensions and life insurance industry.
He started his career at Mercer as an actuarial trainee, and later progressed to a senior pricing and product development role at Royal London.
Beach is currently head of core business, bulk annuities at Legal and General, and will join Pacific Life Re in January 2017.
In his current role Beach leads the de-risking solutions offered to around 6,000 UK pension schemes with assets less than £1bn who are looking to remove pension risk from the company balance sheet.

His new role as head of pricing, Europe, will involve leading the pricing function covering both protection and longevity products.
