Pacific Life Re has appointed Alan Dott as underwriting director for its Europe business unit.
Dott joins from Swiss Re and will be responsible for the leadership of the European underwriting team.
He will also be closely involved in the management of the underwriting client relationships and audit programme.
Dott said he was excited to be joining Pacific Life Re at a time when it is growing its proposition in the UK and Ireland.
Carl Padget, head of underwriting and claims, Europe at Pacific Life Re, said Dott has a wealth of knowledge and experience that will enhance Pacific Life Re’s underwriting proposition further.
Padget said: “We now have a stronger team than ever, with 18 underwriting and claims experts in our London office.”
