California-based independent insurance brokerage Heffernan Insurance Brokers has expanded footprint in its home market by acquiring ISU Centinel Agency for an unknown sum.

San Francisco-based ISU Centinel Agency joined Heffernan’s retail operations on the first of this month.

As part of the deal, Heffernan absorbed ISU Centinel Agency’s Josh Ferenc and David Costello along with its remaining team.

This team has now moved to Heffernan’s San Francisco branch.

Ferenc said: “Heffernan Insurance Brokers’ positive company culture and success inspired me as I was starting my agency 15 years ago.

ISU Centinel Agency, which is active for over 15 years in the insurance space, offers insurance solutions for the construction and hospitality industries. The company also provides private client personal insurance.
