US-based independent insurance brokerage Heffernan Insurance Brokers has acquired Really Great Employee Benefits (RGEB).

As part of the deal, the RGEB team including Barry Cohn, Renee Glickman Cohn, and Lloyd Ettingerjoined Heffernan from the first of this month.

California-based RGEB offers employee benefits consulting for corporate, individual, and Medicare clients since 1997. The acquisition is expected to boost Heffernan’s employee benefits practice, particularly in Southern California.

Financial terms of the transaction were not divulged.
