St. James’s Place (SJP), a UK-based wealth management business, has purchased protection specialists Future Proof, for an undisclosed sum.

The acquired entity will become part of the St. James’s Place Group and support its Partnership by offering specialist protection advice.

Future Proof, founded in 2011, offers expert, quality advice on income protection insurance, critical illness insurance and life insurance, in both the personal and business markets.

After its establishment, the company has arranged more than £800m of cover for clients through a number of insurance companies.

Commenting on the deal, SJP joint COO Iain Rayner said: “In a short space of time, Future Proof has established itself as one of the leading protection advisory services in the UK.

“They have achieved this by focusing on the value of relationships and with an ethos that is very similar to our own – to provide the highest level of advice to clients so that their needs, and those of their families, are met long into the future.”
