FBN Insurance, a specialist life insurer, has partnered with Etisalat Nigeria to launch airtime-based insurance product, Sure4Life.

The combined life and personal accident insurance product is intended to expand company’s insurance industry, while offering consumers reasonable insurance products through the mobile telephone network.

The product will also provide Etisalat customers aged between 18 and 80 years with free life insurance cover for one month between May and July 2014.

FBN Life general manager Segun Balogun said that the Sure4Life is one of its kind product, a combination of life and personal accident covers for Nigerians via mobile telephone.

"With Sure4Life, FBN Life is offering registered post-paid and prepaid Etisalat subscribers death benefits to the tune of N100,000 and N10,000 for personal accident," added Balogun.

Etisalat Nigeria Business Segment director Lucas Dada said that the partnership will bring inexpensive and easy to reach insurance products to the benefit of Etisalat’s growing prepaid and post-paid customers.
