Canada Life has made four senior management changes that involve its individual and group protection business.

The changes mean that after almost three years as group insurance sales director, Jon Ford has been appointed director of individual protection following the launch of Canada Life’s new individual protection offering in August.

Ford will lead the transition of the servicing and development of Canada Life’s individual protection portfolio. He will report directly to Doug Brown, UK CEO, Canada Life.

With Ford starting his new role, Dan Crook, formerly head of sales, income protection proposition, has been appointed as sales director for Canada Life Group’s insurance products.

In addition, Rob DeMott, interim managing director, is returning to Canada and has been replaced by Tim Stoves.

Canada Life said Stoves brings a wealth of group experience to the role, having formerly held the position of scheme underwriting manager. Matt Pincott replaces Stoves as scheme underwriting manager.
