Spain’s insurance industry registered a 10.1% rise in IT hiring activity in April 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring increased by 13.68% in April 2022 when compared with March 2022.

Out of the insurance industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 23.75% share in April 2022, recording a decrease of 2.47% over the last three-month average share.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 70.77% in April 2022, registering a 13.21% decline over the previous month.

2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 16.92% share, an increase of 83.33% over the previous month.

3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 7.69%, registering a 66.67% rise from March 2022.

4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 4.62%, flat growth over the previous month.

Top five insurance companies in Spain’s IT recruitment activity in April 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 4.92% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Spain’s insurance industry during April 2022 over March 2022.

Zurich Insurance Group posted 52 IT jobs in April 2022 and registered a drop of 5.45% over the previous month, followed by AXA with 5 jobs and a 66.67% growth. Swiss Re with 4 IT jobs and Cigna with 2 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 33.33% decrease, respectively, while Allianz recorded a flat growth with 1 job postings during April 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in April 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 69.23%, up by 12.5% from March 2022. Mid Level positions with a 20% share, registered a decline of 7.14% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 10.77% share, down 12.5% over March 2022.
