Arthur J. Gallagher, a global insurance brokerage, risk management and consulting services firm, has acquired UK-based Churchills International Consulting.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Established in 1974, Churchills International Consulting is engaged in providing comprehensive employee benefits programmes to corporate clients.

With focus on the technology sector, the firm’s offerings include critical illness, death-in-service, group pension, private dental and medical, income protection, health and wellness, discount and affinity, and travel insurance.

With the completion of the deal, Churchills International Consulting director Peter Meagher and his team will remain under the direction of Gallagher UK benefit consulting and brokerage operations head Nick Burns, and in their current location.

Recently, Gallagher Bassett International (GB), a risk management services subsidiary of Arthur J. Gallagher, purchased third-party claims administrator Claims Settlement Agencies, for an undisclosed sum.

CSA is engaged in handling claims that arise from corporate and personal travel, accident & health and personal accident insurance. It also offers medical screening and policy fulfilment services.

Through a network of correspondent brokers and consultants, the firm offers client service capabilities in more than 150 countries.
