Tahilyani, a graduate from the Indian Institute of Technology and the Indian Institute of Management is currently a senior partner at McKinsey & Co and leads its Southeast Asian insurance and banking practice.
Tata AIA Life is a joint venture company formed by Tata Sons and AIA Group. Tata Sons hold a majority stake (74%) in the company and AIA Group holds 26% through an AIA Group company.
