Allianz Life Insurance Malaysia Berhad has appointed Rangam Bir as its new CEO.
Rangam has been with Allianz for more than 16 years and until recently was heading the life and health and P&C businesses in the Asia Pacific region as regional general manager at Allianz SE, Singapore branch.

In addition to this role in Singapore, he assumed over the last months the role as the interim CEO for Allianz China General Insurance.
Zakri Khir, country manager and CEO of Allianz Malaysia Berhad, said: "We have been regularly interacting with Rangam inhis last role as general manager in Singapore. Given his vast experience in the insurance businesses across various regions we are confident that he will support our life insurance company to get a different perspective and try out new things.
Bir’s appointment is subject to the approval of the local regulatory authority.
