
MSI, a US-based managing general agent (MGA) under the Baldwin Insurance Group, has introduced a new cyber insurance programme for managed care organisations (MCOs).
The programme, named MSI Cyber for Managed Care Organisations, is structured to address the risks associated with health insurers.
It offers coverage limits of up to $25m for primary and excess placements.
The coverage encompasses privacy and cyber liability, technology errors and omissions, and miscellaneous professional liability.
MSI MGA Programmes chief innovation officer Rajiv Matta said: “Our new cyber programme for managed care organisations reflects our ongoing mission to bring forward-thinking solutions to underserved sectors.
“This cyber programme is an example of our commitment to delivering much-needed specialised solutions.”

The initiative will be led by cyber product leader and senior vice-president Tim LeMarbre and cyber underwriting head and vice-president Tammy Kocher.
LeMarbre added: “MSI Cyber for Managed Care Organisations was developed with a deep understanding of the evolving threats and challenges that managed care organisations face.
“We are proud to unveil a dedicated, high-capacity solution with the flexibility to deploy our significant limits wherever it is needed in an insurance programme.”
This launch is part of MSI’s efforts to expand its product offerings, which include more than 20 different solutions across various insurance lines.
The coverage is the first in a planned series of cyber-focused programmes.
In April, MSI introduced a commercial general liability insurance solution for habitational properties, targeting owners of residential dwellings such as apartments, condominiums and town homes.
