Zurich Insurance has appointed Alistair Wilson as the head of retail platform strategy for its life business in the UK.
Wilson will be responsible for delivering on the company’s platform commitments and communicating all of its new platform deliveries and changes externally to all interested parties.

Prior to this, Wilson led Zurich’s Platform Business Development Team, and has more than 30 years financial services experience.
In his new role, he will be reporting to retail head David White.
White said Wilson’s appointment demonstrates the company’s commitment to its platform business, and the strength in-depth of its management team.
"We have exciting plans for 2014, as demonstrated by our recent announcement about investment-linked protection being added to the platform, and Alistair’s new role will help us better engage with intermediaries on our forthcoming propositions," White added.
