Zurich Insurance Group has collaborated with Snapsheet, a US-based provider of virtual claims technology, to enhance its customers’ claims experience.

As a part of the agreement, Zurich will deploy Snapsheet’s digital services platform in multiple countries.  The strategic collaboration will also expand Snapsheet’s digital services platform to international businesses.

Initially, Snapsheet’s services will be offered to Zurich customers in Ireland, with plans to expand to additional countries across the insurer’s operations in Europe, Latin America and Asia Pacific.

Zurich group chief claims officer Ian Thompson said: “The collaboration with Snapsheet will allow Zurich to further streamline the claims journey for our customers and provide additional innovative services.

“Our customers will have additional options to report claims and communicate with Zurich to speed up and simplify the claims experience.

What does Snapsheet do?

Snapsheet’s software as a service (SaaS) platform enables insurers to better engage customers and process claims more quickly as it facilitates intake of information from multiple channels, such as e-mail, text, or a web and mobile app,.

The platform eases the claims process as it enables insurance firms to directly deposit claim payments into customers’ bank accounts.

Snapsheet co-founder CJ Przybyl said: “Snapsheet has already processed more than $2.5bn worth of claims in the US through our software platform. We continually leverage our own claims data to provide real-time R&D that enhances the functionality and automation of our claims processing software.”
