American full-service insurance brokerage World Insurance Associates (WIA) has acquired Ball Insurance Services of Northwest Indiana for an undisclosed sum.

The acquired company is a Property & Casualty focused agency, which specialises in auto and motorcycle insurance.

The transaction took place earlier this month, WIA said in a statement.

WIA CEO and co-founder Rich Eknoian said: “Ball Insurance upholds the same values and vision as we do at WIA.

“This alignment will allow for a seamless integration for Ball’s employees and clients, setting up our new partnership for future success.”

Giordano, Halleran & Ciesla provided legal counsel to WIA while Wooton Hoy offered legal counsel to Ball Insurance.

In April this year, WIA expanded its footprint in New England with the acquisition of Mazzotta Insurance Agency.

The company also snapped up Texas-based TAB Insurance Agency, Virginia Insurance Partners and New Jersey-based Lewis-Chester Associates during the first half of the year.
