Pie Insurance has launched its workers’ compensation insurance to small businesses in Mississippi, New Hampshire, Utah, and West Virginia.

With the latest expansion, the insurer is providing coverage in total of 29 US states and the District of Columbia. It covers workers of approximately 4.1 million small business owners.

Pie Insurance CEO and co-founder John Swigart said: “With our exclusive focus on small businesses, Pie is reaching a community that had previously been underserved.

“Small businesses across the nation are in need of workers’ comp coverage that meets their unique needs, and we are excited to extend our services to Mississippi, New Hampshire, Utah, and West Virginia.”

Pie Insurance, which started selling insurance in 2008, enables small business owners to leverage its online quote process and payment plans to buy workers’ compensation insurance.

Pie, operating as a managing general agency (MGA) for Sirius American Insurance Company, allows small businesses to save up to 30% on workers’ compensation insurance.
