US-based outsourcing firm Trucept has acquired UWS Insurance to offer insurance services to a broader set of market segments.

The acquired insurance agency, which is based in California, currently has licence in 25 US states. It plans to get licensed in all 50 states soon.

Through the acquisition, UWS-licensed brokers are expected to bring Trucept nearly $500,000 in additional revenue.

Post-acquisition, UWS Insurance will operate as a subsidiary of Trucept under UWS brand name.

“The acquisition is a strategic match and UWS is a natural fit for the company’s client base as Trucept plans to market the insurance services nationally,” Trucept said in a press statement.
