Tower Insurance CEO Blair Turnbull said:  “As a post-pandemic world feels within arm’s reach, we know many Kiwis are thinking about how to travel responsibly and how to get appropriate cover. We’re going to work with Allianz Partners to offer cover in the footsteps of Covid-19.”

Commenting on the partnership Allianz Partners CEO Kevin Blyth said: “We are excited to support Tower Insurance in this journey as travel borders progressively open up and new opportunities arise.”

Tower Insurance and Allianz Partners will leverage their partnership to also provide pet insurance.

Tower Insurance in its press release said there are two million pets in New Zealand, and 95% of them are uninsured.

Turnbull said: “The last year has been really challenging for many of us, and our furry friends have been there throughout.

“With many of our customers having spent more time with their pets over lockdown, it’s time we looked into insurance solutions for these important members of the family.”

Tower Insurance said it will unveil its travel and pet insurance products later this year.
