The Hartford, a Connecticut-based P&C insurer, has launched a new service company in Singapore through its Lloyd’s Syndicate 1221.

This move bolsters The Hartford’s foothold in Asia.

Syndicate 1221 has been a fixture in Asia for more than 13 years with service companies already established in Hong Kong and Shanghai.

Zhenghong Pan will spearhead the Singapore service company.

Pan joined The Hartford in November 2024 from AXA XL, where he managed the financial lines portfolio and led a team of underwriters.

He was also part of AXA XL’s Singapore Executive Committee.
