
The company said that its new term life product will offer five coverage term options, limit on death benefit amounts, guaranteed coverage with level death benefit up to age 95, flexibility to convert the policy to permanent life insurance, and accelerated benefit riders.
Commenting on the launch, Standard Life vice president of marketing, Debie Knowles, said: "When our economy is in transition and many people have a general uncertainty about the economic future, a life insurance policy that is affordable can offer clients a measure of comfort and security in knowing that at least one area of their life is within their control and there is a plan in place that provides protection for their loved ones in the event of death."
Founded in 1976, Standard Life offers medicare supplement insurance products. The company also offers health insurance, senior preferred life insurance, traditional life insurance, annuities, and wealth transfer life insurance.
