Skandia UK has appointed Ian Jefferies as its
new head of protection.
Jefferies will focus on developing the
protection proposition and strengthening Skandia’s position in the
market.

He was previously head of sales and marketing
at Ageas Protect and prior to that led the protection and
investment marketing teams at Friends Provident.
Steve Powell, sales director for corporate
partners at Skandia UK, said Jefferies would work closely with the
provider’s UK sales and corporate partners team.
Powell said: “With his wealth of experience he will be a real
asset to the team, and we are looking forward to driving our
protection business forwards.”
The Skandia protection proposition operates in the high net
worth space, specialising in guaranteed whole of life cover and
rolling term protection. Skandia UK is part of the wealth
management business of Old Mutual.
