Specialty reinsurer SiriusPoint has promoted Chris Fenn to the role of global head of marine to enhance its marine insurance services.
Fenn, previously the head of marine, London for SiriusPoint International, has been with the company since February 2024 and has a background in marine insurance, including a 14-year stint at Markel.
In his new capacity, Fenn will be responsible for leading the expansion of SiriusPoint’s marine insurance products, focusing on cargo, fine art and specie, ports and terminal, and marine liability.
Fenn said: “I am delighted to take on the role of global head of marine at such a pivotal time for SiriusPoint. I am looking forward to building upon the strong foundations we already have in place.”
Furthermore, SiriusPoint has made two additional appointments to its marine team. Anthony Grew will join as head of cargo on 21 July, while Giulia Argano is set to join as marine claims adjuster this month.
Both will operate from the company’s London office, with Grew reporting to Fenn and Argano to Hamish McBride, head of MGA [managing general agent] and programme claims.
