
SiriusPoint has appointed Andrew Pryde as Group chief risk officer, effective September 2025.
Pryde will be based in Bermuda and will report to SiriusPoint’s CEO Scott Egan.
He will be responsible for overseeing the company’s global risk management strategy, the company said in a statement.
Egan said: “Andrew is a highly accomplished and experienced board level insurance executive with proven experience of implementing strong and valued risk management frameworks. He is a great hire who will add strength and depth as we continue to pursue our ambitions as a business.”
Prior to joining SiriusPoint, Pryde served as CRO at Catalina Re, where he was responsible for risk management, compliance, capital modelling, and investment risk management.
Pryde possesses more than 25 years of experience in the insurance and reinsurance sectors in Bermuda and London, having held executive director and Group CRO positions at Beazley plc and DARAG.

By GlobalDataPryde has also held chairman of the board roles at BHI Digital, a digital managing general agent, and Lodestone Security, a US-based cyber consulting firm.
He began his career as an actuarial consultant at PwC.
Pryde added: “I am excited to join SiriusPoint.

Pryde will succeed Andreas Kull, who will remain with SiriusPoint until September to facilitate transition of responsibilities.
Egan added: “SiriusPoint would like to thank Andreas for his leadership of the risk team, and significant contribution and dedication during his 3.5 years with the Company. We wish Andreas all the best in his future endeavours.”
In April 2025, SiriusPoint appointed Eleanor Gibson as its new international chief underwriting officer.
