
Roots, a provider of AI-powered solutions for the insurance industry, has appointed Robin Spaulding as head of insurance to advance AI solutions.
Spaulding brings more than 30 years of operational, consultative and strategic expertise in the property and casualty (P&C) industry to the role, the company said.
In her new role, Spaulding will focus on enhancing the insurance capabilities at Roots.
Her responsibilities include the modernisation of claims and underwriting processes, operational optimisation and the acceleration of AI integration within the insurance value chain.
Spaulding will work closely with the product, engineering and customer success teams to meet the needs of insurance carriers, third-party administrators and brokers.

Her career began as a claims representative trainee after graduating from Drake University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
Spaulding has since held numerous senior leadership roles within the insurance industry, including a position as a divisional vice-president of claims.
Her background also includes experience as a consultant and global insurance expert, where she has worked with C-level executives on projects and system implementations.
The company noted that she helped insurers in developing operating models and integrate new technology platforms, including AI, into their operations.

The announcement follows the news that Frontline Insurance implemented AI agents from Roots to improve its claims and underwriting operations.
