Pinpoint UK Solutions, part of AM Specialty Insurance Group (ASIG), has secured authorisation from the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) to act as a directly authorised company in the UK.
The approval marks a key regulatory step for the business and fits with ASIG’s longer-term plan for Pinpoint UK and its specialty insurance operations in the UK.

The FCA authorisation comes after Pinpoint UK obtained Lloyd’s coverholder approval in December 2025.
The approval is expected to aid the development of Pinpoint UK’s business lines including UK Enterprises, led by Joe Harding, with work centred on specialty insurance offerings and broker and client ties in the UK market.
Pinpoint UK was established in 2024 and provides insurance products for non-catastrophe specialty risks.
From launch, the managing general agent has worked under the regulatory oversight of Resolution Underwriting. The latest approval marks a further stage in its move to become a directly authorised company.
ASIC UK CEO Darren Powell said: “Receiving FCA authorisation is a significant step forward for Pinpoint UK. It provides the foundation for us to further develop our UK platform, strengthen our market presence, and continue delivering thoughtful, focused solutions to our partners.
“We are excited about the opportunity ahead and remain committed to building the business with discipline, technical expertise and long-term partnership at its core.”
