Deloitte has appointed InsurTech expert, Nigel Walsh, as a partner in its insurance practice.
Walsh joins Deloitte from Capgemini, where he was head of insurance and advised UK and European insurance companies on major systems replacements and technology transformation projects.
According to Scott Wheatley, head of insurance consulting at Deloitte, the appointment will add experience to Deloitte’s insurance team as Walsh had been deeply involved in the InsurTech global movement.
He said: “By having Nigel on board, we’ll further enhance our InsurTech offering and help companies better use digital applications and integrate current and new core insurance platforms.”
Walsh said: “We’re seeing so many exciting developments for the industry, ranging from new distribution and mobile platforms to cyber protection, insuring connected homes to driverless cars – all enabled through a myriad of new technologies including AI, bots and blockchain,”
