Marsh has named Nick Studer as president and CEO of Marsh Risk, succeeding Martin South.
South will move into an enterprise-wide role as chief client officer (CCO) of Marsh, working with leaders across the company’s businesses.

The leadership changes take effect on 1 April.
Studer and South will remain on the company’s Executive Committee.
Both will report to John Doyle, president and CEO of Marsh.

By GlobalDataStuder joined Oliver Wyman, part of Marsh, in 1997. He held senior consulting posts across consumer, industrial and financial services, before becoming president and CEO in 2021.
He has served on cross-industry organisations, including as a founding director of TheCityUK and a founding advisory board member of the FICC Markets Standards Board.
South rejoined Marsh in 2007 and led the business in several regions including Asia-Pacific, the UK and Ireland, Europe, and the US and Canada.
He became president and CEO of Marsh Risk in 2022. He first joined the company in 1985 with Bowring Marsh.
South also held leadership roles at Zurich Financial Services. He served on the Group Management Board, overseeing operations outside North America and Europe, and was CEO of Zurich’s London operations.
Marsh said it expects to announce a new CEO of Oliver Wyman and Marsh Management Consulting by 1 April.
