Mitchell, a company that delivers technology solutions to the Property & Casualty (P&C) claims and Collision Repair industries, has enabled Claim Genius’ artificial intelligence (AI) access through the Mitchell Intelligent Open Platform (MIOP).

The move will enable US and Canadian carriers to use Mitchell Intelligent Estimating with Claim Genius computer vision algorithms to generate partial or complete damage appraisals of vehicles using photos and videos.

The use of Mitchell Intelligent Estimating with Claim Genius AI will enable real time processing of the photos of damaged vehicles.

Subsequently, Mitchell translates the AI recommendations into information that is specific to the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) and pre-populates part and operation line items on the estimate.

The appraiser can then access it to review or edit the estimate.
