MIB Group and MIB Group Holdings have announced the election results for their joint board of directors for the 2025–26 term.
The board, composed of 13 independent directors and one internal director – the president and CEO of MIB – has undergone several leadership changes including the appointment of a new chairperson, vice-chair and the addition of three new members.
Bruce Parker, president of Global Life at Pan-American Life Insurance Group, has been elected chairperson, succeeding Sarah VanBeck, senior vice-president and corporate controller of Athene.
Parker said: “I look forward to working with the board and MIB’s leadership team to continue to advance MIB’s position as an important and trusted partner to the life insurance industry, and am honoured to become board chairman.”
Parker, who joined the board in May 2023, brings leadership experience from his previous roles as president, CEO and chairman of Old Mutual US Life, and as senior vice-president of distribution at Jefferson Pilot.
“Over the last five years, MIB has completed a remarkable transformation from a niche service provider to a diversified partner of choice for data and digital solutions to the life insurance industry. As we enter the next phase of the company’s evolution, I am excited to chair the board and work even more closely with this talented team,” Parker said.
