Goldman Sachs-backed insurance broker Aston Lark has introduced a managing general agent (MGA) platform dubbed Spring Partners.

Spring Partners, led by CEO Jeremy Miles and chairman Russell Kilpatrick, aims to invest in and develop new MGAs.

Commenting on the launch, Kilpatrick said: “We are excited to be launching Spring Partners, aligning quality capacity with high grade underwriting professionals who are finely tuned to deliver underwriting profits that will form the bedrock of our business.

“We have been focused on a number of acquisitions and team lifts that will endorse our platform as a high value destination for entrepreneurial individuals.”

Spring Partners marked its first acquisition with the purchase of Neon Sapphire Underwriting from Neon Holdings UK for an undisclosed price.

Speaking on the acquisition, Miles said: “Neon Sapphire is a business that we believe in very strongly which is already demonstrating good levels of growth delivered by a great team.

Last week, Aston Lark acquired Risk Alliance and Risk Alliance International that were owned by Accelerant Holdings-subsidiary Risk Alliance Group.

Previously, Aston Lark acquired Isca Barum Insurance Brokers, an independent insurance broker based in Exeter.
