
Marsh, an insurance broker and risk advisor under Marsh McLennan, has appointed Brian Glod as its global head of Aviation and Space and Tony Ambrose as global chairman of the same division.
They will take on their new roles on 1 September.
Glod, stationed in New York, will be part of the global specialty executive committee and will report to Andrew George, president of Marsh Specialty.
Ambrose will operate out of London and report to both Glod and Dominic Samengo-Turner, CEO of Marsh Specialty in the UK.
Together, they aim to drive the global strategy for Marsh’s aviation and space insurance offerings.
With a tenure at Marsh beginning in 1996, Glod brings more than 35 years of experience to his new position.

In parallel, Patton Kline has been chosen to replace Glod as the regional aviation and space practice leader for the US.
Reporting to Michael Pellegrini, Marsh Specialty leader for the US and Canada, as well as to Glod, Kline will be responsible for the growth of the US aviation and space insurance business.
Kline, who started his career through Marsh’s graduate programme, has more than 21 years of industry experience.

The announcement follows the recent launch of BrokerSafe, an insurance facility by Marsh that provides auto liability coverage to freight brokers in the US.
