IndiaFirst Life Insurance has launched ‘Magicboard’, an integrated portable device that aims to improve sales productivity by optimising leads and recommending the right product based on the customer’s needs.
The device, which is a hand-held tablet PC, means an IndiaFirst sales person can now complete a sale on the spot, with or without access to internet, within 15 minutes.

Immediately after the sale, the data is picked up by the MagicBoard command centre at Mumbai and a verification call is made to the customer to cross check the information, and the call is recorded for future reference by the customer.
IndiaFirst said insurance companies are grappling with a disenchanted agency force, long documentation, mis-selling practices that erode customer credibility.
In addition, it said due to fragmented and manual interactions with the customer spread across several meetings, the sales process is slow and tedious costing money for the agent and the company alike.
MagicBoard also enables a sales person to deal with customer requests, complaints and claims instantly through live video calls and instant access to key personnel in the corporate office.
