LTCG, an insurance administration and claims solution provider for long term care (LTC) insurance, has launched ProviderHub, its new online provider portal.

The platform enables LTC providers of any kind, such as home care, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, to digitally update important information such as on licensure, coverage areas and insurance credentials.

Furthermore, this self-service platform allows streamlined online communication with LTCG.

Before the launch of ProviderHub, updates to the information were handled through paper mailings and faxes.

The data gathered electronically through ProviderHub gets stored in LTCG’s Unified Provider Database (UPD).

This portal allows providers to ensure that the most current profile attributes and licensing documentation are displayed in the database.

UPD is used by several LTC insurers besides LTCG’s claims team to enhance provider selection process for policyholders and sped up payment for the 65,000 claims that are  currently administered by LTCG.

By enabling providers to make self-service updates to this database, turnaround time for initial eligibility decisions gets cut down, and will help in future enablement of electronic billing by LTCG.

Besides the UPD, ProviderHub will enable other LTCG platforms, such as the newly launched policyholder portal, to remain current with provider data as well.

Policyholders wanting information about skilled nursing facilities, home care, etc., will also stand to benefit by getting the most current information supplied through ProviderHub.

LTCG Provider Solutions president senior vice president Matt Capell said: “These digital resources give us more innovative ways to work with the nearly 200,000 providers in our network on behalf of the insurers we serve.

“LTCG is setting a new industry standard in terms of how we engage providers and better support policyholders, creating a better customer experience for every stakeholder.”
