The unit will address projects ranging from construction to large civil and technical undertakings and will be positioned within Global Risk Solutions (GRS), Liberty Mutual’s global commercial, specialty and reinsurance business.
GRS currently provides services to 80 of the top 100 Engineering News-Record contractors.
Two senior roles have been introduced to lead the new capability.
Douglas Schrift has been named global head of infrastructure. In this role, he will represent the unit to brokers and clients and coordinate account-level strategies across different product lines.
Schrift has more than 25 years of experience in brokerage, contractor and carrier positions, and most recently served as chief underwriting officer for Subcontractor Default Insurance at Liberty Mutual Surety.
