US-based property and casualty insurance firm Hudson Insurance Group has rolled out its new Commercial Trucking Coverage for Independent Contractors.
The coverage includes Occupational Accident, Contingent Liability, Truck Physical Damage and Workers’ Compensation, in addition to the Non-Trucking Liability coverage.
Hudson president and CEO Christopher Gallagher said: “Commercial Auto is an important area of growth for us and we are committed to providing motor carriers with an array of insurance products for their independent contractors.”
The company is offering its new commercial transportation coverage through retail producers in select states in the country.
Hudson has been offering its services to commercial trucking industry for the past 25 years. The company distributes its products through both retail and wholesale producers, and programme administrators.
Hudson Commercial Auto head and senior vice president Chris Homewood said: “We’re excited to work with retail producers as our business partners for this particular sector of the trucking industry.
“Those who already know Hudson now have another high-quality, competitive product to offer their clients, and those not familiar with Hudson will find our experienced team to be very eager and responsive business partners.”
The new proposition complements Hudson’s excess of SIR product for motor carriers, marketed exclusively via retail brokers.
The new offering includes an easy to use monthly reporting portal for insureds and their brokers to transact business, noted the company.
Hudson is the US insurance division of international reinsurance and specialty insurance firm Odyssey Group Holdings.
