Sri Lanka-based HNB General Insurance (HNBGI) has named Dilshan Perera as its chief operating officer (COO).
Perera has more than two decades of experience across planning, digital change, marketing, brand work, sales, business development and customer experience.

He has worked in life and general insurance as well as in telecommunications, banking and retail.
He previously served for three years as chief transformation officer at HNB General Insurance.
During that period, he was involved in the company’s transformation work, including the adoption of new technology and customer-focused initiatives.
Earlier in his career, Perera held the role of head of InsurTech – Group Digital Services at Dialog Axiata.
He was also co-founder of InsureMe.lk, identified as Sri Lanka’s first insurance comparison platform, and served as head of Marketing at HNB Assurance.
Besides, he has worked in management positions at DFCC Bank and Ceylinco Life.

HNB General Insurance is licensed by the Insurance Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka (IRCSL). The company operates in both motor and non-motor insurance.
