US life and dental insurer, Guardian, has completed the acquisition of Av?sis, a US government contract vision, dental and hearing provider.
Guardian said the Av?sis deal strengthens its government programmes business as a major administrator for vision, dental and hearing benefits for government and commercial programmes.

Chris Swanker, formerly Guardian’s vice president of group and worksite markets, has been appointed chief executive officer of Av?sis, which has 440 employees and is based in Phoenix, Arizona.
