Germany-based insurtech Getsafe has partnered with UK insurance comparison platform Quotezone.

This is the first time Getsafe’s contents insurance has been available on a UK insurance aggregator.

Quotezone was launched in 2005, one of the first to offer online insurance comparison in the UK. Currently, it generates millions of quotes for partners each year.

Christian Wiens, CEO and co-founder at Getsafe, said: “Over the last two years, we have shown that our product meets a core need for the young, tech-savvy generation. With our insurance delivered through your smartphone, we are developing a product that fits perfectly with the living and communication habits of this generation.

“However, there is no comparable insurance solution for this target group in the UK as yet. Together with Quotezone, Getsafe aims close this gap in the market.”

Greg Wilson, founder of, added: “Getsafe is an exciting insurtech company that has made some truly innovative developments in the insurance market, resulting in an impressive growth rate and a loyal customer base of 100,000+ policyholders.

“This new partnership agreement between Getsafe and will allow our customers to tap into this insurtech company’s advanced digital compatibilities, while also adding greater diversity to our already expansive list of home insurance providers. We look forward to being Getsafe’s first official aggregator partner in the UK market.”

Getsafe launched in the UK at the beginning of 2020.

It was its first move after a market entry in Germany and the company states it wants to serve the whole of Europe.

Getsafe is trying to “rethink” insurance  in the UK and become a leading digital insurer. It utilises machine learning and with just a few clicks, customers can take out insurance, view and change any of their personal or insurance details at any time.

However, Getsafe delayed its expansion into more European markets due to the coronavirus pandemic.
