As per the National e-Governance Plan of the Government of India (GOI), CSCs are proposed delivery points for government, private and social sector services to rural citizens under PPP model. This will facilitate in making all Government Services accessible to citizens in their localities. The objective is to integrate private sector goals with Govt’s social objectives, into a sustainable business model.

Mr. K.R.Bharti, Dy. Commissioner, Kangra District announced the launch of the non-life insurance services offering through CSCs during the event held at Dharmashala. On this occasion Dr. Ajay Verma, Head of Rural Business, Future Generali India Insurance Co. Ltd., Ms. Sharada Ramakrishnan, Head of Operations, Future Generali India Insurance Co. Ltd. and Mr. Mr Veerendra Sharma, VP of Zoom Developers were also present.
Commenting on the launch of the non-life insurance services, Mr. K.R.Bharti, Dy. Commissioner, Kangra District, said ‘The citizens would be able to buy insurance protection plans from the nearest CSCs. I urge the Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs) of the neighboring areas, present here, to contribute in expanding the product range’.
When briefing the VLEs (Village Level Entrepreneur; who owns the CSCs) on the product features, marketing and claim process to be adopted, Dr. Ajay Verma, said ‘Future Generali targets to reach one lakh households through this initiative. We may also consider extending the services from Micro insurance products to other rural products we offer like Janata Personal Accident or Shop insurance, basis the response received. We are pleased with our association with Zoom Developers Pvt. Ltd. With this association, we can reach out to rural market & will be able to address their insurance needs’.
During this event, Mr Veerendra Sharma, VP of Zoom Developers mentioned that his team has designed a customized web portal for VLEs & Future Generali which can be used for efficient policy sales transaction. Zoom Developers are also into various diversified activities beside national e-governance project.
