France-based life insurer Generali Vie has deployed SunGard’s IntelliMatch Operational Control solution to slash operation expenses, minimize risk and improve efficiency.
Replacing a legacy system and associated manual processes, the solution will enable the underwriter to manage its cash and securities reconciliations from a single, centralized enterprise platform.

Generali Vie noted that automation and centralization of its reconciliations will help it to rapidly on-board other transaction types onto the platform, namely system-to-system reconciliations.
Generali Vie manager of information systems Christophe Privat said: "We aim to offer high-quality service to our customers and a key element of this commitment is ensuring we remain operationally efficient.
"We plan to progressively add further reconciliations onto SunGard’s IntelliMatch Operational Control and thus benefit from economies of scale and minimized operational costs.
"It also gives us the ability to manage significant transaction volumes without requiring additional resources."
