EPIC Insurance Brokers & Consultants has acquired Oversea Insurance Agency, which specialises in recreational and commercial marine insurance.

The acquired firm was established in 1978 and trades as Oversea Yacht Insurance. It has offices in San Diego, California and Ft Lauderdale, Florida.

As a marine insurance specialty agency, Oversea Insurance offers insurance coverage to domestic and international yachts ranging from 30ft to 300ft.

As agreed, company principals Scott Jarvie and John M. Jarvie, II will continue to be actively involved in the overall organisation.

Oversea Yacht Insurance president Scott Jarvie said: “After 45 years in the marine insurance business, we are excited about the opportunities ahead with EPIC as this will enable us to expand our capabilities and offerings to clients.

“By further collaborating with EPIC and the EPIC Select team who are focused on high-net-worth individuals, there will be added benefit to all.
